This presentation discusses issues that are relevant when integrating variable renewables into the grid. In the end we present a case study of the residual load flexibility and re-dispatch schemes in Taiwan by 2025.

  • “Re-dispatchment” is misspelling of re-dispatch.

  • “Re-dispatchment” in this slide refers more to flexibility in economic dispatch of power plants due to temporal variations in the residual load profile; spatial variations are not discussed.
